It was nice, and dry, enough this weekend just gone that I ventured for a solo hike up a local fell: Cunswick Scar.
Proper lovely summer’s day. ☀️

I reached the easternmost point of England, just in time having lunch with my sweet little 2yo niece. After that little escapade in Suffolk, I had to set sails north-west toward Norwich, head wind most of the way. So a break in a nice beer garden half way through is quite welcome. 30k to go!
A bit of rain during the night but it eased of when I departed. Good bye fun little shelter. Off we go. And after a few miles, I found this nice café for my breakfast.
I'm going to ride the Norfolk coast this weekend.
Step 0: get everything packed and ready. That wasn't a really good start Arrived at the railway station, I realised I left my water bottles in the fridge. Had to go back and missed my train, I'll take the next one then... Haven't started, already 1h late! 😅
Step 1: train to Kings Lynn. I am lucky, they these trains are not impacted by the strike.
Today we got an extra 9km of railway in the UK due to the heatwave! https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2022/jul/19/uk-weather-extreme-heatwave-forecast-temperature-today-latest-live?page=with:block-62d6e6b68f08b3cb1ab4feef#block-62d6e6b68f08b3cb1ab4feef
Is that just me or garmin are completely bonkers to give a badge for doing a sport activity at more than 38°C?
I had to walk out of necessity but would not have done any outdoor exercise by this temperature otherwise.
I personally don't care about these badges but I am sure some people would just take a risk to get it.
I find this just completely reckless!
Linux user since late '90s, I am an enthusiast photographer who likes messing around with python when I am not hiking or cycling!
